In 1993, CMC Tecnologia was founded in the city of Cocal do Sul, Santa Catarina, with the purpose of meeting the growing demand of the Brazilian ceramic sector, which was undergoing a period of significant expansion. The choice of Cocal do Sul as headquarters was strategic, given the region’s strong ceramic tradition, which facilitated interaction with local suppliers and customers. Initially, the company began its operations within the facilities of IMECAL as part of an outsourcing project, providing a solid foundation for its growth.

In 1995, two years after its founding, CMC Tecnologia took an important step in its expansion journey by opening its first branch outside of Cocal do Sul, located in Campo Largo, Paraná. This strategic decision was driven by a growing client base and the need for proximity to the industrial hubs of southern and southeastern Brazil—regions that concentrate a significant portion of the ceramic and industrial sectors. With this new unit, CMC increased its production capacity and strengthened its commitment to responsive service, providing closer and more effective support to clients in these sectors.

The Campo Largo branch also marked the beginning of a new phase, in which the company began to explore opportunities beyond the ceramic sector, moving closer to industries such as mining, pulp and paper, and energy. The success of this expansion was essential to the consolidation of the CMC brand as a synonym for innovation, quality, and technical excellence. These values, established from the company’s earliest days, continue to guide its operations and sustainable growth, building a solid and enduring reputation.

In 2003, CMC Tecnologia obtained high-relevance certifications for the industrial sector, including ISO 9001 and the Petrobras CRCC, reinforcing its commitment to the quality and reliability of its products. These certifications strengthened CMC's credibility and opened doors to new business opportunities, especially in sectors that demand strict compliance standards. From that year on, the company enhanced its presence in the offshore market by starting the production of surface floaters and supported the establishment of Spaki Machining in Campo Largo, expanding its production ecosystem and partnerships.

In 2008, CMC Tecnologia began manufacturing high-depth floaters, specially developed for operations in pre-salt areas, meeting the resistance and durability requirements demanded by these extreme conditions. The expansion included the construction of a new pavilion at the Campo Largo unit, increasing production capacity and incorporating new technologies, such as large-format vulcanization presses. This milestone reflects CMC’s commitment to continuous innovation and expansion, aiming to meet the challenges of both national and international industrial sectors.

In 2010, CMC Tecnologia consolidated key technical and commercial cooperation agreements with international partners such as Laeis Bucher (Germany) and Gabrielle (Italy), expanding its innovation potential and access to cutting-edge technologies. This period also marked the beginning of technical ceramics production—a line of products for advanced industrial applications—along with the development of a new pressing process for tableware and porcelain, reinforcing the company’s role as a leader in innovative and customized industrial solutions.

In 2024, CMC Tecnologia celebrates 30 years of a journey marked by innovation, strategic partnerships, and high-performance solutions for various industrial sectors. Over these three decades, the company has established itself as a national and international benchmark, serving industries such as ceramics, mining, pulp and paper, energy, and offshore with excellence.
